Class Rules/ Procedures

Classroom Rules and Procedures
Mrs. Hinchen- Room 2
Rules
I use Whole Brain Teaching in my classroom.  This method of teaching is centered around 5 rules which are practiced and expected daily.  This helps everyone learn!
1. Follow directions quickly!
2. Raise your hand for permission to speak.
3. Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat.
4. Make smart choices.
5. Make your dear teacher happy!

Procedures
1. Quietly raise one hand in the air if you have a question, or would like to say something while someone else is talking.
2. Quietly raise 2 hands in the air when you need to go to the bathroom.
3.  Watch for Mrs. Hinchen to be ready to begin lessons, or to give directions.
4. We will be learning a lot of procedures for materials, putting away our backpacks, lining up, putting homework and classwork away, etc.  Your child can tell you all about this as we learn them.

Rewards
Students will be rewarded weekly for completing homework, and for having great behavior all week.  Rewards include:
  • Prize box
  • Verbal Praise
  • Stickers
  • High Fives
  • Take Home backpacks or box

Consequences
Students will be given consequences for not following one or more of the rules.  If your child does not follow one of the rules these consequences will occur:
  • 1st Offense: Warning, note on homework log.
  • 2nd offense: Rule practice, note on homework log.
  • 3rd offense: Phone call home to parent where we will discuss a plan for behavior.
